Fakenham U7's, U8's & U9's New shirts

Three sets of new shirts have been kindly sponsored for these age groups by R & J Williams (Colkirk) Ltd and Imperial Care Home. The junior section are extremely grateful.( see picture attatched)

Fakenham Mini's visited Holt Rugby Club on Sunday 17th Feb.

Wymondham were also guests for the morning. Due to the freezing temperatures over night the ground was still quite firm and matches were delayed while we waited for pitches to soften out and be safe enough to be played on.
Fakenham U7's The first two games were against Holt and Fakenham gained their confidence as the games were played, with Holt winning having the stronger team. Fakenham then played Wymondham and the game was more equal leading to a 5 all draw.
Team: Oliver, Luke P, Lucas, Luke S, Finlay, Aiden and Ethan.
Fakenham U8's Being the end of the half term holidays only five of our U8's managed to make it to Holt, who kindly lent us two of their players, Leo and Albert, to make up a team of seven. We finally got to play Holt first in a close match with good support play from both sides and Aaron, finding space, scored 3 trys, Leo 1, and Albert 2. Final score Holt 35 Fakenham 30.
Our next match was against Wymondham it was another tight match Wymondham tagged well and turned over ball on a few occaisions but Fakenham kept on trying and succeeded in scoring 4 trys.Final score Fakenham 20 Wymondham 30.

Fakenham U9's ran out on a frosty Holt field. They played 2 games of touch rugby while the ground softened up. They then played Holt in a contact match narrowly losing 20-15 and finished the day with a match against Wymondham. Stars were Callum for his big hits in defense and Josh for organizing the team and picking up 3 trys in one game.

Fakenham U15/18 girls (Fox cubs) travelled to Swaffham on Sunday 10th March to join Holt and Wymondham play a trainning match. All Fakenham girls put in solid performances Emily Shinning at scrum half making some fantastic darting runs and hard tackles and Ashley's power running being rewarded with a try. Thanks to Swaffham for the afternoon.watch this space for our next meeting. (see picture attatched)
